Do Creationists/IDers actually think they have a chance at changing the curricula in the secular colleges and?

universities of the world, and succeed in getting the MODEL of evolution banished and replaced with the fiction of 'GODDIDIT'? Are they really that naive, uninformed, and uneducated? Or are they just sad and pathetic people, unhappy with their lot in life, wishing they could have the respect that comes from earning advanced degrees but not willing to pay the tuition, study in the classes, and do the research necessary to actually be considered an expert in a field such as Biology or Chemistry?
