I was banned from a chat! Would they have seen my IP location?

I'm scared they saw my ip location. I recently started lurking a chat (mostly full of regulars) on and off for the last 3 weeks, spying on someone I know in real life (yeah I know, I'm a weirdo. Not the point). Today I go to log on and i've been banished. I never talked in there, I was only on last night. I am scared that one of the regular mod chatters may have gotten curious, saw my ip location and told the person about it who I was spying on (we live in a small town, not a lot of people!). HELP!?
