How fast will my my cold sore go away?

Hi, i woke up with morning with a big cold sore outbreak on my mouth (it had already gotten past the tingling stage and was already broken out a lot). So i went to the doctor and they prescribed Valtrex and Zovirax cream. I have a big speech in a couple days and was just wondering how long it would take with these two prescription medicines to fully heal my cold sore?
